About the Task Force

Chicago, IL - The single, most important accomplishment of the 59th Quadrennial Convention of the PRCUA, which took place in 2006, was the appointment of a Special Task Force. Its members consist of  one representative from each of the PRCUA’s ten districts, one at-large representative and three non-voting members who are the Chairpersons of the PRCUA’s Constitution Committee, Redistricting Committee and Long Range Planning Committee, which bringing its total number of its members to fourteen.

The non-voting members are:

William F. Marutzky Chairman, Constitution and By-Laws Committee, Chicago, IL, Society 987
Thaddeus S. Klamerus Chairman, Redistricting Committee, Dearborn Heights, MI, Society 87
Donald Versen Sr. Chairman, Long Range Planning Committee, Des Plaines, IL, Society 308

The eleven voting members are:

District 1 Marsha Mikuszewski Adams, MA, Society 359
District 2 Mary Louise Turkiewicz MD, Buffalo, NY, Society 765
District 3 Walter Schultz Philadelphia, PA, Society 2013
District 4 Michael Turkiewicz Portland, OR, Society 1492
District 5 John Borkowski President of Alliance of Poles, a Division of the PRCUA, Parma, OH, Society 2220
District 6 Susan Plewa Secretary, Milwaukee, WI, Society 2303
District 7 Edward G. Dykla PRCUA President Emeritus, Vice Chairman, Barrington, IL, Society 1580
District 8 Anna Toltzman Rockford, IL, Society 1622
District 9 Michaeleen A. Lamont Hammond, IN, Society 418
District 10 Christopher Ozog Madison Heights, MI, Society 428
Member-at-Large Gregory B. Olma Elected by the ten members from the districts, Chairman of the Task Force, Buffalo, NY, Society 540

The Task Force was charged with meeting on a quarterly basis to discuss the structure of the PRCUA and to issue quarterly written reports on their progress to the Board of Directors. In order to gather ideas and receive input from PRCUA members about the future structure of our fraternal, the Task Force will hold meetings in each of the ten districts. Invited to these meetings will be the district’s national directors, delegates to the Convention, and all PRCUA members for the purpose of testifying before this Task Force.

This is the most important part of the process. Your voice - the voice of the ordinary PRCUA member - is key to the success of this Task Force. After reviewing and analyzing the information it will gather from the members of each district, the Task Force will issue its recommendations on redistricting, the structure of the PRCUA and changes to the PRCUA’s Constitution.

Much thought, energy, time and effort are being invested by the Task Force in order to develop a comprehensive plan that will take into consideration all the ideas and concerns of our members. Therefore, it is essential for PRCUA members in each district to attend the Special Task Force Meeting when it comes your turn.

The Executive Officers and Board of Directors urge all PRCUA members - including members of the Alliance of Poles Division and the Federation Life Insurance of America Division - to give their total cooperation to the Task Force by participating in these important District meetings.
